10 Things

Who knew it would be so hard to list 10 things I'm thankful for. I'm constantly finding myself thankful for things I have in my life, but it's hard to narrow them down. These are in no particular order of importance as I'm listing them when I think of them.

1. I'm thankful I can be a Christian freely.
2. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband that never ceases to amaze me with his love and thoughtfulness.
3. I'm thankful for our smart, healthy, happy son who brings joy to my life every day.
4. I'm thankful to be surrounded by family.
5. I'm thankful for my best friend Mary. We've been the best of friends since we were eight. It's hard to find such close friends anymore.
6. I'm thankful for my husband's parents who have shown me how to live for Christ.
7. I'm thankful for the ability to get an education
8. I'm thankful for pets who help bring laughter and comfort into our home.
9. I'm thankful for clothes on my back, a roof over my head, and food in the cupboards
10. I'm thankful for my health.

Musky Jasmine

I was so happy to find out today that I was sucessful in creating a musky jasmine perfume that was very similar to the Love's Musky Jasmine that is no longer made. I sent a message to a person telling her that I make custom perfume blends, and I'd love to try and make some for her.

My main concern was that I had never before smelled Musky Jasmine and had no idea how to get close to that scent. So, I made up two samples modified from my Jasmine Deight recipe and one of them was somewhat close. I tried one more time and she was very impressed that I was able to get so close. Third time really is a charm sometimes. It was nice to know that based on her descriptions of the scent, I was able to create what she wanted.

So here in the next week or two, I will have the Musky Jasmine blend available in my list of perfume blends. What a happy day!
